Paleo Challenge Day 9 – CADA

Before I bought my Thermomix I hadn’t even heard of CADA. Basically, it is a gluten and grain free version of muesli. CADA stands for Coconut, Almonds, Dates and Apple.

Breakfast time can also be one of the harder meals to find alternates to grains. This is the perfect alternate. It is one of the best things you can start your day with, giving you a great boost of natural energy and filling up your tummy for the busy day ahead of you.

1

CADA

40gm coconut, shredded
40gm dates
40gm almonds
1 apple, core skin on
*this quantity with make one adults serving.

Place all the ingredients into the TM bowl (of food processor) and pulse 2-3 times/1 sec/Turbo or until you get the desire texture.
Its best served fresh, straight away.

Once you have tasted this, you will be thinking of all the different flavours you can make; add other dried fruit, fresh berries, cinnamon, ginger or whatever you like.

My kids actually ask for this most mornings before school and I am always happy to oblige.

  1. I’m quite interested in this one, because I do miss my cereal when I get sick of eggs! My husband makes No-atmeal with nuts which the kids love, but I find it really irritates my tummy. Thanks for the recipe!

    • Pleasure! I never was big on cereal, I later realised it was because the milk and cereal always made me feel sick, but I do love this. And seeing as you are Primal eating you could top with some raw greek yoghurt. Enjoy!
