I’m here to apologise for not being around much lately and sharing some delicious recipes with you. Early last week I hurt my toe at the gym. I accidentally dropping a 20kg plate on the tip of my big toe. It didn’t hurt that bad at the time, in fact I managed to continue my workout for most of the session. On the drive home though, I knew something wasn’t right and it started to hurt a lot.
Taking my shoe off, once home, it didn’t look pretty. So I have spent the week trying to keep my foot up and resting it. I didn’t think it was broken, but it did bruise nicely. I’ve been surprised at how well my body has healed though. I have to put it down to my diet and lifestyle. I don’t think it will be too long and I will be back to good.
It has changed a few of my plans for the week though. Recipe testing in the kitchen became hard, as standing for too long put a lot of pressure on the toe. So, I’m apologising for my absence.
I have been using my time wisely though. I’ve got a lot of study to get through and complete before the end of May, and its allowed me to focus on getting a large chunk of that done. For those of you that don’t know, I am studying Nutritional Medicine. I’m looking forward to helping others one day to achieve their health and wellness goals. Its been a real test for my old brain.
So, that’s where I’ve been hiding and why. Hopefully things will start to get back to normal and you’ll be seeing some more delicious recipes very soon.
