Paleo Green Chicken Thighs & Sauce

Chicken is the popular white meat in most households. Many of us prepare it the same way day in day out. Today, I wanted something a little different from my chicken. I wanted more flavour. Something that got the taste buds tingly, but not be too spicy for the family. So, I came up with my green chicken and sauce.

Chicken thighs really are a more succulent cut of chicken for this dish. While you could use breast meat if you prefer, it tends to be drier and not as flavoursome. I used to be one of those people who would only eat chicken breast meat. I have been converted though, and really do prefer using thighs more for baking or frying. This recipe would also be perfect to grill on the bbq as well.

Oven Baked Paleo Sweet Potato Crisps

Often the paleo snacks on offer are all sweet. Catering for the sweet tooth’s who struggle to give up the refined sugar treats they are used to eating, and need a paleo alternative. I’m guilty of it, but here is a savoury recipe for all the crisp or chip lovers out there. Those of you that are missing that crunch.

I’ve tried many times in the past to get the sweet potato chip just right. Often it was still soft in spots, and while delicious, just didn’t hit the spot. These crisps do. They are perfect for dipping at parties, munching on while watching movies, or adding a crunch to a salad.

Avocado & Banana Smoothie

I realised today that I haven’t shared a smoothie recipe with you…what was I thinking! I usually stick to my favourite protein smoothie recipe, but today I decided to try something a little different. If it worked, I was going to share it with you. If not, well there wouldn’t be this post.

I had something similar to this smoothie at a conference recently, and instantly wanted to make my own. This a usual occurrence when I eat something I like, I try to make my own version of it. I could instantly see the benefits this smoothie would have for filling you up with ‘good stuff’ or more commonly know as good fats.

Healthy Paleo Lunch Box Day 3 – Choc Banana Pudding

This recipe is a great alternative to all the sugary yoghurts and custards that are splashed with cartoon characters just so your child will want it that bit more. Its very easy to make fresh perhaps while you are preparing breakfasts. Or you could make it the night before and keep chilled.

Paleo Challenge Day 26 – Nom Nom Paleo Big-O Burger.

Today is Australia Day, our national holiday to celebrate everything that is Australian. All over the world we are associated with the term “throw another scrimp on the barbie”, and today that is a national past time. When you are Paleo though, you are more likely to throw a juicy burger on the bbq.

I do apologise now, if you are a vegetarian. Most of my recipes can very easily be converted to exclude meat and substitute with a vegetable, but this recipes doesn’t I’m sorry. Please look away now.
