One day my hubby came home and requested this recipe, and playing the good wife I obliged. It’s not often he requests a specific dish, so I’m usually happy to make it for him. I had actually been meaning to try making these paleo meatball subs for a while, and it’s not dissimilar to my basic meatball recipe you can find here.
As some of you may know, hubby and I have been doing a Whole30 since the beginning of January 2016. It has been a lot easier than I thought it would, and although it hasn’t been as easy for him, I’ve been really proud of how he has stuck to it. So when he came to me asking for me to make up this recipe, which is Whole30 compliant, I’m going to serve it up and keep him on track.
My hubby is and always was a jerky lover. When he finally joined me on the paleo journey one of the first things he asked me to make him was some jerky. I’ve made it quite a few times since then. This recipe is a mix of flavours that I always go back to.
This paleo beef jerky recipe is simple to make and is great to have on hand as a snack, whether you’re trying to up your protein, makes snacks that are cost-effective, or just need something convenient to take away camping. It’s also suitable if you are following the Whole30 or 21 Day Sugar Detox (21DSD).
One of my favourite meals when I dine out is a well cooked steak. Prior to going paleo, I would always choose that steak with Diane sauce. There was something about the flavour that I made me a big fan. I’m guessing it was the garlic (I love garlic). I’ll reassure you now though that this sauce isn’t overly garlicky, if you’re not a fan of garlic like me. Either way, the traditional sauce isn’t paleo and I soon had to make the choice to leave it out when choosing off a menu.
